To expand and diversify the Groups operations in order to support and to set a foothold on another automotive market in the region, PT Ingress Malindo Ventures (PTIMV) was formed in Indonesia in August 2003. The plant is located at Jababeka Industrial Estate, a location prominent to this industry in the Cikarang Selatan area.

The core expertise of the operations in Indonesia is in manufacturing and supplying of mouldings, sash and sash related components for the non-commercial and commercial automotive industry.

Semi-finished roll form parts received from Ingress Engineering and Ingress Precision Sdn Bhd are assembled at this plant. Examples of the parts received are “Roll Forming Bar Material Sash” and “Roll Forming Bar Material Moulding”.

The 20,645 square feet plant is equipped with a celltype assembly line consisting of stretch bending machines, presses and MS cutting machine, and a robotize assembly line.

The main manufacturing process at this plant is stretch bending for moulding and robotic plasma welding for sashes. PTIMV’s products include mouldings of two components. The first being inner and outer beltline mouldings, and the second is front, centre and rear door sashes. Plans to expand to a twelve components are in the pipeline. In view of a growing demand of car components in Indonesia the plant was built to manufacture 300,000 sash car sets and mouldings for 150,000 cars a year. PTIMV is a supplier of mouldings and sash to Mitsubishi and Suzuki. With the installation of Roll Forming for sash, moulding and flocking machine, PTIMV shall have complete production, thereby stopping import from Malaysia.
